Day 41: Ardevon (Mont St. Michel) to Saint-Pair-sur-Mer

Hit the road again and journeyed east and up a bit. Staying at the municipal aire (48°49’1.92″N 1°34’11.63″W) in the small seaside resort of Saint-Pair-sur-Mer. Arrived just as the weekly market was packing up, which was a shame to have missed it. Saint-Pair-sur-Mer is a compact little town, few shops, the obligatory church and Mairie plus… a casino (time to hide himself’s wallet).

The resort has a small sandy beach, beach huts and an outdoor seawater swimming pool. It’s very grey and overcast today so himself’s mankini remains unworn (what a relief!).

We watched championship petanque, boy do they take this game seriously! We left our boules in GerTee as we didn’t think they’d let two Brits join in.

Very quite here considering it’s peak holiday season but we suspect it gets super busy at the weekends. An unadvertised fireworks display tonight. Biggest bangs we’ve heard in a long time, thought the Donald had opened up on Korea!
