We’re staying here another night for a brief rest from the dreaded satnag; we’ve also heard that today is market day. Bikes are off the rack and we peddle all of the 2.7km into the centre of town. It’s busy busy busy, so we just follow the locals herding towards the action.
The market circles the church of ‘Notre Dame’ and is a riot of colour, noise and tasty smells… wish Fareham market was like this!
Bought some bits for tonight’s BBQ. Enjoyed a café and some people watching in the hot sun and then shoved off back to camp. It’s 30oC under the van awning so we’re pooped and only good for sitting down reading and supping a very delicious glass of Bergerac wine… hic! Hic! Well it is the weekend ne c’est pas!
